Hands-on AI training for your non-technical team

What happens in the two hours

01

AI 101

What it is, what it's good at today, and what it struggles with.

02

Hands-on practice

Good AI habits and what to watch out for, in the tools your team already uses.

03

One real task

A walk-through of using AI in a task your team already does, until it works.

What we need from you

  • A short list of repetitive tasks your team does. We'll pick one together.
  • Laptops, and the tools in scope with logins working.
  • Your AI use policy, if you have one. We teach to it.
  • Someone from IT on the day is welcome, not required.

Before and after

Before: a short survey, or a few prompts to try, so we learn how your team uses AI today and the session starts where they are.

After: management receives learning resources to share with the team: a review of the workshop material and next steps to level up.

Already have an IT manager working on AI? Good. They handle tools, access and security. We teach everyone else how to use it well, and we coordinate with your IT manager so we're teaching your policies.

Questions

How many people can attend?

Any size of room, or Zoom. It works best with 6 to 20 people who share a workflow, such as one department. For larger teams we bring a second facilitator so everyone gets hands-on support.

Can we do it remotely?

Yes. In person at workplaces across Southern Saskatchewan, including Saskatoon and Regina, or virtual or hybrid. In Saskatoon, teams of fewer than 12 can also come to the Co.Labs office.

What should the team prepare?

Nothing beyond the short survey and a laptop with their tools working. We'll have picked the task with you before the day.

What about sensitive information?

We work within the tools and policies your organization has approved. The session includes practical expectations for sensitive information, access, and where a person has to stay in the loop.

Is there follow-up?

Management receives the learning resources above. Further training, for the same team or the next one, is scoped and agreed separately. Leaders who want to decide where AI fits across the organization can start with the strategy session.
