Can you give me investment or help me find it?
Part of building a startup generally includes raising investment. We do offer support to companies to help raise but only do so when startups are ready.
What are your policies during COVID?
We have a comprehensive action plan in place based on public health guidelines. Masks and physical distancing are mandatory in the Co.Labs space.
Do you offer office space?
Yes we have both office space and hot desking. Companies have dedicated desk place and the ability to book any of our board rooms.
What kind of companies do you work with?
We work exclusively with tech and tech-enabled businesses. These business are generally product based (software or hardware).
Are your programs free? Do I have to give up equity?
Of course not! We're an independent non-profit supported by some amazing public and private partners. This lets us provide all of our programs free of charge and without taking equity in the companies we work with.
Do I need to be full-time on my venture?
To qualify for the Co.Link and Co.Lead programs, at least one founder should be committed to the startup full-time. Founders in the Co.Launch program are not expected to be full-time.
Do I need to have technical experience to join your programs?
Nope, some of our top founders have little to no technical expertise. Generally, when startups are approaching launch they will bring on one or more technical team members.
Who should attend the Co.Learn Founder Summit?
Those interested in becoming a founder or those at the early-stages of being a founder with greatly benefit from attending the summit.
How often are Summits?
We have 4 summits a year. Two for Founders and two for employees. We have one summit per quarter approximately.
Do I need an idea to participate in the Founder Summit?
No! Co.Learn is all about building the foundation, you do not need an idea or a startup to be apart of any of Co.Learn's programming.
Is Co.Learn only for students?
Nope - doesn't matter to us at all. Co.Learn is designed to help you break into tech no matter your age or background!
Who should attend the Co.Learn Employee Summit?
Anyone interested in perusing a career in tech should attend the Employee Summit. The summit offers a ton of exposure to the skills necessary to break into tech.
Do I need to have a team to apply?
Our program is competitive and one of the essential elements of a startup is team. You don't necessarily need a team, but a strong team is a huge asset.
Do I need to have a product or MVP or prototype?
Nope! Co.Launch applicants range from those with just an idea to those who have a working prototype and possibly a few customers!
When do applications open?
Applications open twice a year, once in January and once in September.
How do I apply to Co.Link
Applications are done on a rolling basis. Simply send us an email with some company details and we'll be happy to set something up to discuss further!
How do I get into Co.Lead?
Most companies go through Co.Link before gaining entry into Co.Lead. We look at a variety of factors in when to promote a company into Co.Lead like revenue, investment raised strength of team, etc.
