About Co.Labs

Co.Labs is Saskatchewan’s tech startup incubator. We work with founders across the province to help them build, launch, and grow globally competitive technology companies. Since 2017, our alumni have generated $142M in revenue and raised over $69M in Venture Capital. Co.Labs also operates Uniting the Prairies, the largest tech conference in Saskatchewan, which brings together 600+ founders, investors, and community members each year. Co.Labs’ central position in the ecosystem has created an exciting and challenging work environment that accelerates the careers of its people.

About the Role

Co.Labs is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. This hands-on, execution-first role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional eager to learn how startups are built and tech communities are grown. As a one-person marketing function, your job is to collaborate across functions, turning inputs from the Programs team, Operations, and Executive Director into polished, well-distributed content quickly and reliably. You will contribute directly to both the Co.Labs and Uniting the Prairies brands, promote our events to the community, and engage with external stakeholders to be the link between Co.Labs and the ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

Communications, content, and channels (Co.Labs and Uniting the Prairies):

  • Create and manage content on social channels, mainly LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Write and send marketing emails via Mailchimp and to keep our audience engaged.
  • Publish content to our website(s) through Webflow to stay relevant and useful.
  • Create graphics and visual assets for digital and print use using Canva.

Systems, tools, and analytics:

  • Use Notion to manage marketing campaigns and the social media calendar.
  • Keep our audience up-to-date in Affinity (our CRM), by managing and segmenting lists.
  • Use design, analytics, automation, and AI-supported tools to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of day-to-day marketing work (eg: ChatGPT, Claude, etc).
  • Gather insights from marketing analytics to improve reach and relevance.

Communications & collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Programs Team, and occasionally with founders, to amplify startup wins and milestones, connecting the wins that we see to our broader community.

Who We Are Looking For

You are an early-career marketer looking for meaningful responsibility. You are comfortable doing the work yourself: writing, designing, organizing, posting, measuring, and improving as you go. We care about strong work, learning speed, and judgment.

“Need to haves”

  • Strong writing and graphic design skills - you can make complex ideas clear and interesting.
  • Confidence using digital tools and a desire to test and adopt new ones (especially with AI).
  • Solid organizational and collaboration capabilities. As the sole marketing person, you are comfortable working independently on a small team.

“Nice to haves”

  • Experience planning or supporting events.
  • Exposure to startups, tech companies, or incubators (though we don’t expect this at all!).
  • Proficiency in our specific tools: Webflow, Mailchimp, Affinity, Webflow, Notion. (Though you should be proficient with Canva or similar graphic design software.)

Why This Role Is Different

Unlike most early-career marketing roles, you will:

  • Have a lot of autonomy (you get to bring your own ideas to the table).
  • Interact directly with startup CEOs, investors, and tech leaders.
  • Learn and apply the leading edge tech tools, including AI to automation.

Show up each day curious and ambitious, and you can accelerate your career by 5 years at Co.Labs.
