About Co.Labs

Co.Labs is Saskatchewan’s tech startup incubator. We work with founders across the province to help them build, launch, and grow globally competitive technology companies. Since 2017, our alumni have generated $142M in revenue and raised over $69M in Venture Capital. Co.Labs also operates Uniting the Prairies, the largest tech conference in Saskatchewan, which brings together 600+ founders, investors, and community members each year. Co.Labs’ central position in the ecosystem has created an exciting and challenging work environment that accelerates the careers of its people.

About the Role

We're hiring a Program Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of Co.Labs' tech startup programming. This is a relationship-heavy, hands-on management role. You will understand what is happening inside the startups we work with, help them identify the next move, and connect them with the people and resources that can help. You will also lead the two-person programs team and oversee the systems that make our startup support consistent and valuable.

You’ll have great autonomy in this role. You will make decisions that directly impact the companies in our programs by allocating expert support and identifying patterns across all companies in programs. You will work closely with the Executive Director to continuously improve programs and how we support startup founders in Saskatchewan. This job is for someone who wants to take on real responsibility, expand their network, and make a meaningful impact on the startup ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

Lead founder and expert/mentor relationships and program delivery

  • Build trusted relationships with founders in our programs, understanding their businesses and growth goals.
  • Manage relationships with experts, Executives-in-Residence (XIRs), and mentors who can best support what startups need.
  • Assess founder/ startup needs and connect companies with the right experts, mentors, resources, and opportunities at the right time.
  • Own founder recruitment, intake, and progression through the Co.Labs program funnel.

Manage the Programs team and operating systems

  • Directly lead a two-person Programs team: set priorities, coach development, give clear feedback, and enable them to deliver founder support.
  • Manage systems that keep the team organized, responsive, and focused on making good programming decisions.
  • Track company-level KPIs and use those insights to focus support where it can make the greatest difference.

Support the tech community’s growth

  • Represent Co.Labs professionally across the Canadian technology community. Travel to relevant conferences or events may occur from time to time.
  • Lead sponsorship outreach and relationship management for Uniting the Prairies conference.

Who We Are Looking For

You are personable, organized, and credible. You have the ability to build trust with entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors while making clear decisions and following through. You can manage a team and the systems they need to succeed at delivering programming. And above all, you are truly excited about Saskatchewan tech startups.

“Need to haves”

  • Some exposure to entrepreneurship or the innovation ecosystem - most importantly, a genuine interest in seeing how startups grow.
  • Great relationship-building skills to build trust and credibility with the Co.Labs founders and expert network.
  • Comfort learning quickly, making reasonable decisions with incomplete information, and working in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change.

“Nice to haves”

  • Existing connections in Saskatchewan's technology or entrepreneurship ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting founders through an accelerator, incubator, startup, investor, professional-services, or community organization.
  • Experience with sponsorship, fundraising, sales, partnership development, or event revenue.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a back-office program administration job. You will work hands-on with founders building fast-growing tech companies, and establish a network of executives, investors, mentors, experts, and technology leaders from across Canada. You will have a front-row seat to the work that makes the Saskatchewan startup ecosystem stronger.

There is room to grow into a leadership position at Co.Labs as you demonstrate the ability to lead the team, improve programs delivery, and build trusted relationships across the ecosystem. Show up each day curious and ambitious, and you can accelerate your career by five years at Co.Labs.
